About Brendon Coffey
Brendon Coffey is the owner and operator of The Local Guys Test & Tag East Tāmaki. A proud Kiwi, Brendon grew up in a small seaside village where everything was truly local. Casey was the butcher, Robbie the grocer, Uncle Ray the builder, and the Degroots ran the fish and chip shop. Community was at the heart of it all, and that spirit of connection and service has stayed with him ever since.
After leaving school, Brendon pursued a career as a chef, which took him around the world. He worked in kitchens across Australia, the UK, Canada, and Southeast Asia, gaining not only professional experience but a deep appreciation for different cultures and the way food brings people together. Some of his most meaningful memories came from simple meals shared in humble kitchens, prepared with heart and passion.
With more than 40 years in service industries, Brendon now brings that same commitment to quality and care into his Test & Tag business. His goal is to make every customer feel looked after, respected, and confident in the safety of their environment.
I Am Local To East Tāmaki
Brendon has called East Tāmaki and the wider South Auckland region home for the past 12 years. He is actively involved in the local church community and supports a range of community initiatives. His strong connection to the area means he understands the needs of local families and businesses and takes pride in offering services that truly make a difference.
